Review Suria’s Projek Cerpen: Dual Part 2

Azlie Alias, who prefers to be referred to as Ari on the web, is the founder of the word Moojik. Moojik means Wonderful, in an abstract form. Ari is also the founder of the term Moojikulous which means, To hell with everyone, as long as I think its right, it should be!

Previous on Moojikulous…

From Part 1 …So since the director wanted to portray it as flashbacks, short dialogues scenes, montages and so on, I would make the whole short film a disaster. Yes I am not kidding…

Indeed I wasn’t. I really wish I could make a disaster out of that drama.

First, I will start with a flashback of the kid, and the father of course tengah main-main dan bapak nye tuh pulak happy giler belikan anak dia cokelat so that the kid could keep it as a secret. Montage it sampai banyak wardrobe pakai… peloh satu badan.

Then next important scene would be the relationship Rima and the toyboy should have. I would make it that as though they are attached but not engaged. Build toyboy peh character lebih showing yang dektu penyayang dan suka main-main tapi selalu kena tolak dengan Rima Melati Adams.

Filler characters can play around with Father, friend, neighbour, cat, dog, auntie pulling cart full of cardboards whatever lah…

Then, yang best nye, Rima does not like to be touched by her boyfriend but she prefers to fool around with other men. Ahah! Bukan panick ye tapi PELIK. Panick tu cemas PELIK tu weird.

But Toy boy found out about this from Rima’s kitchen helper colleague who pao toh to ToyBoy because she likes Toyboy also but hates Rima although their relationship is more than just colleagues but they are also gay partners. This kitchen helper hates Rima because she has the best of both worlds. She wants it too. She desires for that best worlds that she cannot get at Best Denki.

So The kitchen helper plans to stalk Rima and whenever Rima goes out after a goodsession with her, she would follow from behind. Sometimes she would follow from the side too if you think that is going to be more fascinating. But the kitchen helper is smart, she disguises herself as a ninja! Wah! Power story melayu got ninja!

Rima loves one night stands and almost every Wednesday after ladies’ night where she lied to Toyboy she went over to Grandma’s for Wednesday Pajamas Night, she would go club hopping just to get laid. But the kitchen helper now dressed as a ninja is smart, just before Rima get to bed with her one night standers, she would throw the sharp razor thing aimed accurately at the men’s throat and they will all die instantly in front of Rima.

Rima a bit peh slow and being a bimbo, she just passed it off as fate. She will keep that every night as her secret and the police still cannot solve the case. Come on man, one limping man cannot find, you think they can find ninja meh? Mustahil right? Impossible! Bu ke neng de!

Now back to Toyboy, he looks forward every evening to go out with Rima and tries very hard to convince her to go to bed with him but every move was FAIL to the max. Rima will make a lot of excuses like:

“Sorry ToyBoy, I want to keep my virginity.”
“Sorry… I haven’t shaved my beaver”
“Sorry, mother nature raised japanese flag lah beb”
“Sorry, I am ovulating might get pregnant if you can’t control yourself”
“Sorry, my maid just got sentenced to prison for mistreating the baby”
“Sorry, I don’t like these condoms… I prefer the most expensive ones…”

“But I thought you are a virgin?” Toyboy would ask her back.

“Sorry… I need to pee” she would answer.

The excuses never end.

But in true fact, she is still a virgin because Kitchen helper ninja girl didn’t allow her to be penetrated. Technically. Naturally I mean. Because both of them had experimented with things we guys do not want to know. Think baseball and cricket.

So the killings continued until one fine day, Toyboy started to get curious and wanted to know where exactly Rima went to every wednesday. He followed her from behind. The kitchen helper friend ninja girl followed her from behind as well and that was when all hell breaks loose!

Toyboy caught notice a black apparition in the corner of his eye and followed he ninja instead. He saw the kitchen helper friend ninja girl aiming her razor sharp thing at Rima’s acquaintance whom she finally rendevouzed at a nearby hotel near you. Instantaneously, ToyBoy managed to dive on time to stop kitchen helper friend ninja girl’s hand from swinging her weapon to her target. Unfortunately, the razor sharp object was released and landed on the wrong target. It got on Rima’s head. Rima dies. Toyboy got angry and there comes a fighting scene.

3 minutes of fighting and Toyboy who happened to be a master in Aikido managed to bring ninja girl down and unmasked the ninja.

In his armlock, her eyes locked into his pair of lost in transition eyes, she reaches forward to get a kiss but since melayu peh show takder cium, Toyboy released her from his armlock.

“Why Kitchen helper friend ninja girl? Why? Why must you kill her? She was your best friend!” he screamed at her in Malay. Translated: “Kenapa, kawan penolong dapur pompan ninja? Kenapa? Rima kan best friend kau!?”

“Aku… ” Lost in her words, she drew her ninja sword and stabbed her own gut. She dies.

Toyboy was left alone in the mess with the acquaintance still there siting duck not allowed to move away because his script stated so. Now that he is in frame, he starts to run off to nowhere and that is not important because his role is to just run away when he is in frame.

Police came. Arrested Toyboy for suspected of murdering his girlfriend and her kitchen helper pious girl in all black with tudung. Since his background is in martial arts as investigated by the police, he was forced to admit guilty.

Now Toyboy is in prison and since he is good-looking, he is the target of drop and pick up the soap game in the showers. After so long he tries to forget his past, it seemed his memories drew nearer to him as he recalls the same feeling he recollected when he was young eating his chocolate after a good session with his father.

The End.

If suria were to take your cerpen, they would changed it to a different story so that its 90% different from the original cerpen. Whether ur cerpen will come out as a disaster or not, depends on the production company. And you will have NO SAY on how you want to change ur cerpen, its all their say. Yes its true, and sadly, other ppl who is like you will start criticizing that show (ur cerpen). And this is happening in all of the 9 cerpen (the 10th have yet to be shown next week). Every cerpen is changed and the original story is gone.

Moral is, no matter how good your cerpen is, it will have the same fate when it is televised on tv. And btw, after reading your cerpen, it is NOTHING compared to the winners’ cerpen. I’m saying this base on the content. The winner’s cerpen are far too good than yours. So stop boasting and read more books.

Dauzz, you are definitely going to get a hell of a reply from Ari. It is the very the obvious that this entry is to be taken lightly, why so uptight? Are you one of the writers? I’m sad and sorry, that your “cerpen” is featured. Since the cerpen is 90% changed, like you claimed in your comment, definitely the “cerpen” featured in the tv is not the writers’. So this cannot be a projek cerpen. It should be project-tukar-cerpen-orang, kan Janet kan.. kan.. kan? And you are new to Ari’s writing. That explains the uptight-ness in your comment. Relax, it is just a post. Like you, everyone is entitled to give comments on something. - See this smiley, this is ensure others that I am not angry. LOL.

I think this post is just mocking around jer and not to be taken in very seriously. I do not have any cerpen background but all I can say is the cerpen Ari wrote is really outrageous and nampak sah not meant to be better than anyone but just for fun.

I saw yesterday’s show and its ok ok jer baik jln criter or the drama itself.

But judging from Ari’s writings so far apart from this particular entry, seriously, he should be if not one of the best in creativity and underlying messages.

Btw, reading more books doesn’t make anyone more capable of proving anything. All I can read in your comment now is just you being sore about something that I can’t seem to figure.

How about letting me read what you’ve written for a start? Then I might be half as smart as you.

Kekekkkkk! Tak paham mcm maner ninja-melayu bleh menjelma ni. Hahahaha…that was fun reading in the morning. It sure woke me up.
But i digress liao…
Sebenarnyer mmg nak memuji Projek Cerpen (pdhal tak pernah tgk psl sebok bg tuition), Satu Jam and everything else that is related.
I especially liked Satu Jam and OKB. I can see the S*uria is tryg its bestest. So kudos to that!
And that karaoke singing show i have yet to watch. But it sure sounds fun. Fresh concept jugak lah…so keep up the gd work!
And Abg Ari, are u currently residing in the North now? I saw u heading down the escalator to the interchange on Tuesday…..

It is not a good thing to mock around other ppl’s work. By writing that so-called *juz-for-fun-cerpen* and claiming that it is better than what is featured on tv, clearly says how stupid that show is. How do you think the writer would feel if he came here and read what you wrote? If you wanna give comments (regarding Kak Liz post), then please think about other people’s feeling before commenting.

Well, regarding the 90% change, not literally 90%, but in the sense that sometimes the original story is lost. The concept of the story is still the same though. SOme production house chose to expand a minor part of the original cerpen, some add their own storyline, and some just stick to the original cerpen but change here and there (very few writers experienced this though).

I agree it is not a good thing to say but we have to face our choices, our facts in life. I don’t want to be and never had been a person who’d shut up if what I’d say will be negative. I don’t say good for the sake of motivating also.

So what you meant only applies to others but not you? So what abt these that you commented targeting at me?:-

See what I mean? You wish to defend but you can’t strengthen your stand. I am ok if people were to even say “Ari, your blog sucks! Aimless and a waste of time” I’ll take that as valid feedback because the commentor supported his views with reason at least in his personal view.

But if someone were to say “Ari, your entry sucks and “Izzati’s” way better than yours”, that would be baseless and comparing heaven (mine) and hell (Izzati’s). No constructive feedback and to me that comment is the same as a car passing by a small plant at 190km/h. Yes, I’ll give that a miss but I ironically, I will still pay a visit to Izzati’s.

The point is, in my lengthy reply because I am so free, I do not get what you are trying to say. Trying to be serious, nice yet punching and contradicting. Don’t make me confuse man, I have not read your writings yet…

Its ok if I say someone is stupid, but dont u think it hurts when I say even a pig is cleverer than that someone. Both uses different words but the meaning is the same. One is negative but the other is negative AND making fun, which is worse. And you are the one being negative AND making fun.

I want to defend but can’t strengthen my stand? Hello? U are not serious in doing that story of urs and u expect me to be serious as to give my stand and all. Please ok.

I bet you do not. Telajak perahu boleh diundur, telajak kata mulut binasa. But, in this case, jemari kau tu yang akan binasa. Lepas kau baca ni kan, MUSTI terbakar jemari kau tu.

1st, I do not know what is going on di belakang tabir because I am JUST a viewer of that programme.

2nd, as a TV viewer, am I not supposed to comment on something I’ve watched? Excuse moi, I paid for the TV and Radio license. Do you pay for yours or your parents did?

3rd, You have not still answered my question, kid. Why the uptight-ness? Why the defense mode? Are you the writer of this cerpen? Can’t you accept comments about your work? Do you actually think your work is top-notched craft? Bangga betol eh kau, dah tak boleh kena comment ke pe? Kau ingat apa, comment director/whatever-position-yang-kau-ingat-bagus-sangat tu aje lah yang bernas? Paprek ah, aku VIEWER, bangang! Aku ada hak ape. Kalau tak kerana viewers, korang tak de rating! 4th, kalau aku dah pernah bluntly sound orang besar kat sana on how to run the programmes, you are NOTHING compared to him. I repeat NOTHING! You don’t believe me? You ask them sapa antara mereka pernah kena sound kat Kampong Chai Chee(Tampines) roughly FIVE years ago on why they love to recruit THOSE without talents?

5th, kenapa kau sakit hati sangat ngan aku? I am just giving my views, IF.. I repeat IF the cerpen is 90% changed, then it is not the writer’s then. This means, the writer should not be featured. They should only be named during the credits. Either you gave wrong info or you BLUNTLY type what you FEEL. In what way, yang aku sakitkan hati the writers? Its Ok if you want to comment. But I’m sure that you know that everything in this world has a limit. You do know right? And by making fun of something, that is the limit. That’s why alot of people dislike SIMON Cowell as many of those who likes him. You can say that you don’t care. Well then you need to improve on your speaking so as not to hurt others. Im sure you do not like to be made fun as well right.

I can accept comments, but I cant accept it if people make fun of my work. Can u accept it when people make fun of you work?

And which part of my post stated that *aku sakit hati dengan kau*. Which part of my post even stated that I’m talking to u???? In case you didn’t know, I’ve been referring to Ari all this while. Oh Gosh! I know, juz because ur name appeared on my post, u think that I’m talking to u right?

Ari is indeed making a total different story. Total different CRAP story I would say. And he is saying that his intentional crap story should be featured on tv instead. For the third time, I can accept what others think of me but I can’t accept when people make fun of me or my friends. In this case, my frends. And that is why I *bersuara*. Well since you are very experienced, I’m sure you know the feeling of being made fun of. DO you like it? Can u accept it? Now those who read these will see for themselves what kind of person you are. Kau ingat setakat menang, SGD1000 and a certificate, you already considered yourself the best in the field and you think you can say viewers are wrong? Viewers are never wrong. I am a viewer and I do not have to know what is going on behind the screen, whether or not they changed your story or they bullied you or they sodomised you. No, I do not have to know that. I perceive what I see on the screen.

Yes, you are still a 17-18 year old teenager who is still studying for a diploma in NYP. FYI, I am also from NYP and had grad years ago. Masa tu kau lagi hingusan and still sucking your thumb, which I supposed you are not doing it now. I can never stop you from being a kid, because you just do not want to grow up and listen. Since now I know who you are, I’m ignoring you completely. Remember you are the one who started these nonsensical childish fires that you yourself cannot even stop it. Now, it is burning inside you because people already know who you are. Looking forward to next week. Really want to know how irritating you can be.

Abang Ari, if Natasha Ar(r)ina is with one ‘R’, how come Suria put as two “R”s? So this means they are not only changing the story, they are also changing the spelling.. Maybe editor mis-spelt lah tu ehk..

I think I have wasted my posts because clearly you do not understand what I was trying to say. Because you kept repeating the same thing all over again when the answer is already there. Like Ari, I’m a staritforward guy too. When the story is crap I say is crap. He made fun of that story, and so I made fun of his story. So now i’m in the wrong lah?

I say I’m the best? I said viewers are wrong? This is what u kept saying each time u posted to me and I have answered them over and over again. I’m sure you will deny it because you’ve already dislike me due to ur childishness and so whatever i posted, its jus masuk mata kiri keluar mata kanan. This is called childish and unproffesional. And sad to say, you are being it.

You are the one should stop thinking you’re big and start UNDERTSANDING. Dont read blindly. Like I said, so what of you’re a Kak, or a Cik. You put emotions through your arguments, that explains all about you already.

If you still dont understand for the 4th time, I’ll say it again.

I’m not saying that he is wrong in commenting, but I’m saying that he is wrong in making fun of people’s work. PERIOD!

THERE IS A REASON WHY I FIRST POSTED HERE AND NOT DUAL PART 1. Because the *making fun* starts in dual part 2 but not in part 1. In part 1, he just said that he didnt like it because its cliche blah3. I accept that, its the viewers opinion (like kak lis said for the nth time). And as proved, I didnt post anything in that entry.

But y do I post here? Simple. Because the making fun of the dual story (whether indirect or direct) starts here! And that is where he is WRONG because you are supposed to respect other ppl’s work no matter how terrible they are because it is SERIOUS WORK.

Now how do Ari makes fun of it? By purposely writing a crap story and say that it should be featured on tv. Murid-murid, this is what we called INSULTING. And since when insulting is RIGHT?

You can say that *dia ckp nak suroh respect work org tapi die sendiri tak respect Ari’s work*. That Ari’s work is purposely made crap. It is not serious. Any reason why I should respect it?

seronok pulak baca perdebatan hangat pat sini. aku tak tau saper betul dan saper salah. tapi yang aku tau, aku tak tgk citer dual tu. dan yang aku tau si ari nie (ari tu dan ari-ari yang selainnya) mmg begini. begini macam mana tu, susahlah nak explen. kalo nak kenal dia, belanja jer nescafe gajah satu. hurhurhur!

Kepada teman-teman Ari mungkin mereka boleh menerima post ini sebagai bahan lawak sahaja kerena mereka sudah mengenali Ari. dan perlu diingatkan bahawa saya sentiasa ingat blog ini untuk bacaan umum, bukan bacaan teman2 ari sahaja. makanya saya mengajak anda menjadi teman ari supaya anda mengenalinya dengan lebih baik agar anda tidak mudah melatah dan mengomen serta menganggap bahawa ari memandang serius terhadap adaptasi cerpen yang ari lakukan yang telah membuat fikiran dauzz terganggu. jika anda mengenalinya, nescaya perselisihan faham seperti ini tidak berlaku.

oh btw, i do hope your not zaini. koz it’ll be a shame if zaini were to get so worked up about a silly thing such as a blog entry, since he has been writing for quite some time after all.

Anda tidak boleh expect semua pembaca umum untuk bertemu Ari dan mengenalinya kan? Cara lain ialah Ari boleh lebih berhati-hati dalam tatabahasanya ketika membuat post. Di luar bersama temanya saya tidak kisah, tapi apablia membuat post, dia harus lebih berhati-hati agar tidak mengguris hati pihak lain. Cara yang terbaik buat password protected. Senang, nak maki hamun pon takde org umum yang tau.

A last note to kak lis (hopefully this wiil be the last)…

I discovered something very very interesting that I think everyone should read it. I discovered this when I was in the toilet. Ye lah seperti kak lis kate, hotak aku tertinggal pat toilet, so aku gi toilet amik balik.

Anywayz, Kak Lis, do you reliase that you’ve been doing the same thing like what I did all this while??? Tak caya? Meh budak hingusan explain pat kakak experience.

Firstly, what I said to Ari is almost the same as what he said in his entry. Ari said that suria shld read his cerpen and showcase it because that is original (maximum rating blah3). And I said that his cerpen is nothing compared to the winners cerpens. So unintentionally, he is boasting about his cerpen while i’m boasting about mine. The same thing kan?

And so, one of the reasons that I shoot at Ari is becoz I felt that he is boasting about his intentional crap cerpen, while you shoot at me becoz you felt that I am boasting about my cerpen.

Get the similarities? You are actually being me you know. Hahahaha Its like I’m Ari and you’re me.
